is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving counties in Minnesota as well as portions of Howard, Winneshiek and Allamakee counties in Iowa. The cooperative was founded in 1936 when power was not available to rural residents. Local citizens banded together to build lines going out to their homes and farms. Those people created a company that has prospered while providing its members with competitive electric rates and expanded services for 75 years.
